Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) today announced that he has received the official endorsement of the United Firefighters Association (UFA), the Uniformed Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) Uniformed EMTs, Paramedics & Fire Inspectors, Local 2507 –FDNY, and almost a dozen more public safety organizations, for his re-election campaign. These endorsements highlight Slater’s unwavering support for first responders and his continued dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of communities across New York State.
The UFA, representing over 20,000 active and retired FDNY Firefighters, providing critical emergency care services, praised Assemblyman Slater for his strong advocacy on behalf of public safety professionals. Throughout his tenure, Slater has consistently fought for legislation that supports first responders, including measures to improve working conditions, increase access to mental health resources, and enhance the safety equipment available to those on the front lines.
