SLATER ENDORSED BY BUSINESS COUNCIL OF NEW YORK STATE PAC FOR RE-ELECTION

Assemblyman Matt Slater (R,C-Yorktown) has received a key endorsement from the Business Council of New York State Political Action Committee (PAC) as he seeks re-election to the New York State Assembly. The Business Council PAC’s endorsement is a recognition of Slater’s commitment to promoting a business-friendly environment, job creation, and fostering economic growth across the state.

As Yorktown Town Supervisor, Slater gathered local business and community leaders to form the Reboot Yorktown Task Force following the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the products of the task force was an economic development policy that the Business Council of Westchester called a model for New York State. The task force also helped launch the Destination Y campaign to attract economic development to the community in the wake of COVID-19.

During his time in office, Slater has championed several pieces of legislation aimed at lowering taxes, cutting red tape, and ensuring the state’s business community can thrive. His support of policies that promote innovation, attract investment, and create high-quality jobs has earned him the trust of business leaders across New York State.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Business Council of New York State PAC,” said Assemblyman Slater. “Businesses of all sizes are the engine of our economy, and I remain committed to ensuring that they have the tools and support necessary to grow and succeed. We must continue to prioritize policies that attract investment, retain talent, and spur innovation in order to build a stronger, more prosperous future for all New Yorkers.”

As a vocal advocate for fiscal responsibility and economic opportunity, Slater has worked closely with business owners and community leaders to continue his efforts to reduce taxes, address the state’s affordability crisis, and fight against policies that hurt New York’s business climate.
